Tips for a summer ‘Strawberry Umbrella’ wedding ceremony

Dec 7, 2021

We are now in the summer months, and the weather is considerably warmer than other times of the year, so we thought it would be a good idea to have a quick chat about things to contemplate for your big day.

  • As our ceremonies are short and sweet, they are of course ideal for the summer months, as you are not going to be waiting in the heat for very long. However, it is always worth considering bringing an esky with some cold water along with you, to ensure that everyone remains hydrated.
  • Shade is a must when the temperatures rise, and with our special SPF rated umbrellas, we can provide ample shelter from the UV rays, for the whole wedding party, including your guests.
  • ‘Slip, slap, slop’! We all remember this phrase from yesteryear, but the message is still important today. To avoid unsightly sunburnt wedding photos, remember to apply a good amount of sunscreen before getting into your wedding outfits.
  • Dress to the weather – whether it be flowing fabrics or ditching the waistcoat and jacket, think about staying cool for the whole day, not just your ceremony.
  • Going back to the need for shade, we all wear our sunglasses in the sun, to protect our eyes, but they are not a great look for wedding day pictures. The Strawberry Umbrella umbrellas will help shield your eyes during your all-important ceremony, meaning that you can remove your sunglasses to look into the eyes of your spouse as you say ‘I Do’!
  • Heat wilts flowers. Fact. Top tip – bring a small spray bottle with water, to keep your bouquets and buttonholes fresh throughout the day.

Our cleverly designed, registry style ceremonies are, in total, around 15 minutes duration – which is perfect for these warm, summer days and couples who are looking for a cost effective, but stunning option. Book now to secure your date!
